Objective:
Pocket Mentor is an app that helps young adults mainly the demographics of students looking for a career path. After graduating from high school not many students know what they want to do after. Many students are uncertain, lost in life or are facing a time of unresolved conflicts. In what ways can we help students who are transitioning from high school into their future career. With the Pocket Mentor App it allows students to have one on one conversations with Certified mentors who guide students on ways to find interests and possible career paths.Having a personal mentor you can chat with about a specific subject will teach them more about what they want to become or guide them to their future endeavors. A mentor can provide emotional support, be a role model, help explore careers, set goals, motivate, and a way to reach out for resources. A mentor can assist students and track their progress in life. Pocket Mentor's priority is to provide a helping hand and safe space for students to grow. The basis of the app is to help ideate a student to structure their strengths and weaknesses to come up with ideas to focus on in life.
